News at Eminem Arabians (2011)31st December, 2011 - Yukon Park ? (Bobby) purebred colt by Moonlite Gande out of Rahan Narkita. Owned by Lyn and Barry Peel, Yukon Park Arabians Tarcutta NSW.
30th December, 2011 - Some lovely news today. Lyn and Barry Peel from Yukon Park Arabians, Tarcutta phoned to let me know that their purebred mare Rahan Narkita foaled a chestnut colt by my old stallion Moonlite Gande who we lost early in the year. Yukon Park Shahmeka is also due anytime to the same stallion, fingers crossed for a filly. 29th December, 2011 - Well Christmas has come and gone. Christmas afternoon saw us receive over 2 inches of rain in about 20 minutes and no power for 7 hours. Boxing Day saw us receive another inch so all up the farm is WET. Magnifique has been given a positive 65 day preg test to GLF Apollo which is great news. Eminem Jessabelle is being very well cared for at Willomere Stud, I cannot thank Julie and Jason enough for looking after her so well. Dahma is still in foal to Arabian Park Desert Dashar - bring on August 2012.
17 November, 2011 - Ballanbrae Socialite owned by Kelaray Stud in New Zealand has had a stunning colt by Annabrae Rogue Trader. She will now be bred to Gai El Jullyen in early December. Eminem Jessabelle has made the long trip to Bayles in Victoria to be bred to Willomere Studs purebred stallion Kharbine, I am super excited about this mating as the resulting foal should be stunning. 3rd November, 2011 - Magnifique was preg tested today in foal to GLF Apollo from Mulawa Stud. 28th October, 2011 - Here is Gucci KS, owned by Kelaray Stud in New Zealand and currently living at Eminem Arabians in NSW, Australia. He is by the stunning purebred stallion Crave FF out of Willowcroft Chorus, riding pony mare. Both he and his Dam are for sale.
Eminem Jessabelle is booked into the transporter for pick up mid November. She will be travelling to the other side of Melbourne to visit the purebred stallion Kharbine at Willowmere Stud. I am getting very excited about next seasons crop of foals. 21st October, 2011 - Great news today, Al Dahma has been preg tested in foal to Arabian Park Desert Dashar for an August 2012 foal. Magnifique has been AI'd to GLF Apollo and we will have our first preg test in 2 weeks time. I have just returned from a 3 day Steve Brady Clinic with both Eminem Shahrona and Aloha Aswad Amir. Both did extremely well especially Amir for a young stallion who has not been out in a lot of company before he behaved himself and did the arabian stallions proud. Willowcroft Chorus foaled a lovely big bay colt for Kelaray Stud in New Zealand. Ballanbrae Socialite is not far off foaling to Annabrae Rogue Trader. 11th October, 2011 - Some very unfortunate news, Tipsy slipped her Gai El Jullyen foal and I am still sulking about it. She will more than likely be bred to him for the 2011/2012 season. Al Dahma has not returned to Arabian Park Desert Dashar so she will be coming home in the next week. Magnifique is booked in for AI next week to GLF Apollo. Gabby will be coming home in foal to Apache Warrior and Ballanbrae Socialite will be bred to Kharbine after foaling in November. OMG look how many foals I am going to have next season, thank goodness I didn't have any this season.
Al Dahma has been bred to Arabian Park Desert Dashar and Magnifique has been prepped in readiness for AI in a couple of weeks time so it is all go go go with breeding here at Eminem Arabians. Willowcroft Chorus is due next week to Crave FF for Kelaray Stud in New Zealand. This mare and the resulting foal will be for sale. 5th August, 2011 - The breeding season is almost upon us. Magnifique will be bred to GLF Apollo and Al- Dahma is going back to Arabian Park Desert Dashar. Currowan Gabby Azeem will come home from lease at Amitola Arabians & Pintabians in foal to Apache Warrior. Shahrona has been home now for 3 weeks and is putting on weight nicely. By mid spring she will be back in peak condition, fat and happy. I will start working with her next week and hopefully I will be able to complete a couple of local endurance rides on her early next year. Eminem Arabians have purchased Aloha Hussar's Rose, a beautiful bay Anglo mare by Aloha Rostrum. Thank you to Robyn Holden from Saguna Warmblood Stud for the opportunity to purchase this mare. She is going straight to Yukon Park Arabians to be bred to their thoroughbred stallion. I have leased the stunning chestnut Anglo mare Ballanbrae Socialite (pictured below) from Kelly Mason at Kelaray Stud in New Zealand. This mare will be served by the gorgeous purebred stallion Kharbine for a 2012 foal. Thanks to Kelly for allowing me to breed my first Anglo with this stunning Australian Champion mare.
12th July, 2011 - This morning I made the heartbreaking decision to put Eminem Spydar (Rusty) down. The bowel abscess had returned and his health had worsened overnight. It makes a person wonder what they have to do to change their luck. RIP little man.
9th July, 2011 - I was very saddened by the news from Barry and Lyn Peel at Yukon Park Arabians that Eastern Park The Shaman passed away. He was a beautiful stallion, a one of a kind and will be greatly missed. I feel very very lucky to be getting Eminem Shahrona home who is by Shaman.
25 June, 2011 - Eminem Shahrona, pictured below is coming back home. Her owner Charmaine and I are both upset at the dreadful condition Charmaine found her in after only 5 months out on lease. Charmaine has lovingly offered her to me and now she will come back to Eminem Arabians. I thank Charmaine so very much for the wonderful care she is showing this mare and getting her back into the condition she was before Charmaine leased her out.
Eminem Phandango has made it to her new home in Cobar with the McBride family. I wish them all the best with this lovely filly. I am having riding lessons now every week and Amir and we appear to be doing well. 6th June, 2011 - Amir is back from the breakers. I have ridden him only a couple of times (I need more hours in the day) and he is lovely. Cannot wait for the winter to be over so I can be in the saddle a lot more. Pumpkin did well at her first foal show. She travelled perfectly and we came home with 3 ribbons. She was an angel and never put a foot wrong. She is now turned out and I will get her back in after winter in readiness for the spring shows. Tipsy had her 55 day scan and is still in foal to Gai El Jullyen, very exciting. Hurry up and come Valentines Day 2012. Rusty has made a full and complete recovery from his bowel abcess. He is back to his cheeky self. All the rest of the dirty beasts are doing well, looking like the great unloved at the moment with mud and burrs but they are happy.
18th April, 2011 - Rusty, is nearly fully recovered and has become very wise to know when I am heading down with his oral antibiotics. Amir has been at the breakers for just over a week now and so far so good. 29th March, 2011 - Great news is that Rusty has made a wonderful recovery overnight and will be okay to come home tomorrow morning. Finally something has gone my way. 28th March, 2011 - Tipsy was scanned today, with wait for it - twins. After what seemed an eternity, the vets finally sorted it all out and she is home wrapped in cotton wool again until her 30 day scan in 2 weeks time. Pumpkin had her combo rug put on Sunday morning and was a little champion. It was liked she had been rugged before, she just stood there for me to put it on and has not been worried by it at all. She has been taught to pick up her front feet, next obstacle are the back feet. Amir will be leaving to be broken in at the end of the first week of April. I cannot wait to finally get a horse to ride and he should be lovely under saddle. 27th March, 2011 - My luck just keeps on getting better (sarcasm at its worst). Poor Rusty was rushed to the vet clinic this afternoon with a blockage and twisted intestine. The staff and students at the Charles Sturt University vet clinic were magnificant and we just hope that he can get rid of this blockage in the next 24/48hrs. 11th March, 2011 - I am at a loss for words tonight. I lost my lovely old stallion Moonlite Gande. I seem to be blessed with horrible luck so far this year. RIP my beautiful old man.
7th March, 2011 - Tipsy has been left at the CSU Equine Hospital with the view of AI to Gai El Jullyen this week. Magnifique is home from her lease at Brampton Park Pony Stud, she will be bred to GLF Apollo in September. The 3 foals have finally settled down and have discovered that human company isn't half bad. Next trick will be to put a rug on Pumpkin in readiness for the foal shows in May. 25th February, 2011 - 1/2 hr after writing the post below, I found Eminem Dasharma (Dash) dead in the cattle yards. I am in shock at losing such a special and beautiful filly. RIP my gorgeous girl.
25th February, 2011 - Well where do I start with all my news. We had a lovely break for a couple of weeks down the coast and found it difficult to pack up and come home, I could have stayed there for a few more weeks. Heste Arabique Southern Belle is going to be put in foal to Gai El Jullyen for a joint venture between Kelaray Stud in New Zealand and Eminem Arabians. I am super excited about this, so the next few weeks I will be flat out arranging AI etc. I purchased 2 stallion services through the AHSA Online Flood Auction. The lovely chestnut and white tobiano partbred stallion, Stacey-Le Amir's Shadow owned by Amy and Scott Curran at Aliyah Arabians Oberon and GLF Apollo owned by Mulawa Arabians. Now to pick 2 mares to visit both of these boys. I have had a bugga of a time with greasy heel and finding somewhere dry to put those horses that are affected. So far I have only had three but if this weather continues then no doubt more will get it. Dash is now in to be taught to lead and tie up and boy she is a live wire. I am very impressed with this filly, she is getting better and better. Magnifique and Moonlite Gande will be home in the next week and Eminem Phandango will go to her new home soon after. 16th January, 2011 - Today we lost Aloha Bonfire below to snake bite. She was a lovely mare taken way too early. |
